How I look after your information
What I collect, why, who else handles it, how long I keep it, and what you can ask me to do with it. Written to be read, not just to exist.

Who is responsible
Greenland Medical Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. I am Dr Andrew Greenland, a sole practitioner, and I am personally responsible for how it is handled. The practice is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZA838953.
Patients are seen at The Maris Practice, 13 Baylis Mews,Twickenham, TW1 3HQ. The company's registered office is 5 Brayford Square, London, E1 0SG. For anything on this page, emailinfo@greenland-medical.com.
If you visit the website
Nothing that identifies you is collected unless you choose to send it. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it on the cookie banner; thecookies page explains exactly what is set and how to change your mind. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out automated spam, and the site counts how many enquiries arrive each month and how people found the practice, with no names or contact details attached.
If you send an enquiry
The contact form collects your name, email address, your message and, if you choose to answer, how you heard about the practice. It is sent to me by email and is not stored on the website. I use it to reply to you, which is in both our interests and is a step towards any appointment you go on to book.
Please do not put detailed medical information in the form. If no appointment follows, I delete the enquiry after 12 months.
If you become a patient
To look after you I keep a clinical record: your contact details, your history, examination findings, test results, letters, treatment plans and notes of our consultations. This is health information, which the law treats as especially sensitive. I hold it because it is necessary to provide your care, under my duty of confidentiality as a doctor, and to meet my legal and professional obligations.
Your record is kept in Semble, a UK clinical records and booking system, and I keep it for 8 years after your last appointment, in line with the NHS Records Management Code of Practice. Card payments are taken through Semble when you book, and I do not see or store your card details.
I share information about you only where your care needs it or the law requires it: with laboratories when I order tests, with your GP and any specialist involved in your care (I will tell you when I write), and with Apollo Health only if you choose to join its ReCODE programme, in which case you sign up with them directly. I never sell information, and I never use it for marketing without your agreement.
Who else handles information for me
- Semble - clinical records and online booking.
- Google Workspace - email.
- Resend - delivers messages from the contact form to my inbox.
- Vercel - hosts this website.
- Cloudflare - domain services and the contact form's spam check.
- Google Analytics - visitor statistics, only with your consent.
- Laboratories - when tests are ordered for you.
Each works under contract and may use the information only to provide their service to me. Some are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where information leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK-US data bridge or approved contract terms.
Your rights
You can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the information I hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete information, where I am not required to keep it (clinical records usually must be kept for the period above);
- limit or stop how I use it, or send it to you or someone else in a usable form.
Email info@greenland-medical.com. I will reply within one month and there is no charge.
If you are unhappy
Please tell me first, and I will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.ukor on 0303 123 1113.
